DEFENCE MINISTER MUSA LEADS STRATEGIC SECURITY PUSH IN BORNO, REASSURES NIGERIANS OF STEADY PROGRESS

Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, , has reassured Nigerians that the country’s security architecture is steadily delivering results, following a high-level visit to Borno State alongside top military commanders.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of Governor , Deputy Governor expressed deep appreciation for the Federal Government’s continued support, noting that military operations have begun to yield visible improvements across several communities.
He highlighted that areas once under intense threat are now experiencing relative calm, attributing this progress to enhanced coordination between the Nigerian Army and Air Force, as well as sustained pressure on insurgent elements.
Importantly, the Deputy Governor emphasized that recent successful interventions in locations such as Malam Fatori, Monguno, Askira Uba, and Chibok reflect a turning tide in the fight against insecurity.
In his remarks, General Musa maintained a calm but firm tone, assuring Nigerians that the Armed Forces remain fully committed to restoring lasting peace.
“Our visit is not only to sympathise with the good people of Borno State but also to critically assess and strengthen ongoing operations. We are working closely with commanders on the ground to refine strategies and ensure even greater results,” he said.
He further praised the resilience of frontline troops and acknowledged the critical support of the Borno State Government, describing civil-military cooperation as a key pillar of recent successes.
