Mrs Oghogho Musa Offers Prayers for Victims of Insecurity, Calls for National Unity
Abuja, Nigeria – Mrs. Oghogho Musa, wife of Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, has expressed deep sorrow over the plight of kidnapped children and other victims of insecurity across the country, offering heartfelt prayers for their safe return and calling for renewed commitment from leaders and security stakeholders.
In a message shared on her Facebook page, Mrs. Musa lamented the pain being endured by families whose loved ones remain in captivity, describing the situation as heartbreaking and unimaginable.
“My heart is completely broken. As a mother, I cannot imagine the anguish of families whose children and loved ones remain in captivity, tortured, afraid, and waiting. I weep with you,” she wrote.
The emotional message, accompanied by a photograph showing Mrs. Musa in a moment of intense prayer and reflection, has drawn reactions from many Nigerians who commended her compassion and empathy for victims of insecurity.
Mrs. Musa said she continues to pray tirelessly for the safe return of all abducted persons and asked God to comfort families who have lost loved ones to violence.
“I pray without ceasing for the safe return of every abducted child and every captive soul. May God comfort the bereaved, strengthen the grieving, and bring our people home,” she stated.
She also urged leaders at all levels to act with wisdom, courage, and urgency in addressing the nation’s security challenges, emphasizing that Nigerians deserve peace and protection.
“I also pray that God grants our leaders true wisdom, courage, and urgency, because our people deserve nothing less,” she added.
The Defence Minister’s wife further paid tribute to members of the Armed Forces and other security personnel who continue to risk their lives in defence of the nation.
“To our brave men and women in uniform giving everything in defence of this nation, we see your sacrifice. We honour you. We pray for your protection,” she said.
Her message concluded with a note of hope and resilience, expressing confidence that Nigeria will overcome its current challenges.
“Nigeria, we shall overcome,” she declared.
